A real, very recent administrative change: effective January 1, 2025, the city transferred public and semi-public pool and spa plan approval, licensing, and inspection duties to the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment (JCDHE) under the newly adopted 2025 Johnson County Aquatic Health Code, while the city itself retained authority over the construction building permit.
