Under the jointly enforced Rutherford County Zoning Ordinance, fences or walls in residential districts may not exceed 8 feet in side and rear yards, and front-yard fences may also reach 8 feet subject to additional conditions; fences may not be placed in a drainage easement without the County Engineer's written consent, and 5 feet of clearance must be maintained around any electrical pedestal.
